buying a bird that is CITES listed

remember that certain endangered species of birds are listed and need proper documentation CITES before being bought and sold if not then you new parrot could be an import which means the parents of the chick were most probably battered to death-i kid you not or stolen from an nest, it also helps if your bird is rung as this can identify the breeder, though in a lot of cases an older birds ring can be worn away so therefore you cannot see the numbers and letters which could be hard to identify a birds age or origins- you can also be fined or imprisioned for selling a bird that is CITES listed without documentation, i will later ad a list of all these birds that are listed at the current time Exclamation
