Age for puppies
learning the clicker soon as the pup has settle in well at
home a few days or a week
For Dogs and Rescues
Again happly settled in a few days depending on the sound..?

Placing it in you pocket to marsk the sound..or...behind
your back or in glove
You can get regulated sound freqencies now soft, med, to
loud

Treats
Using small pieces of soft tasty slid down hamm, cheese. and
garlic sausage..etc
using amount of (10) at anyone time so you know how many treats
you are using to adjust your dogs food in-take

Using these treats in your hand (10) with your clicker to
give instand reward to your dog as the ..."Timing" is vital
to your dogs learning
Sometimes if the treats are delaid for any reason you can
have your dogs barking...at you...much to say "Give me"
as they love their clicker work and doing more
But that means whe your dog barks at you ...You have to
wait more, because you don't want to reward your dog
barking....A..Bit in No-mans land...

Using the clicker for training is so beneficial because it
explains to the dog fast what we are wanting to teach.
The catchy sound it makes "Marks" well with what we
wanted our dog to do.....Then...the ..food delivery is
made to mark the end of the behaviour.

A click always promises a reward----the majority of dogs
work well for food, but time playing with a toy or a pat
or a cuddle can be used as a reward.

Capture Behaviours
Once your dog has understood the clicker you have a vast
array of possibilities at your finger tips...!!
Capture natural behaviours like the ...wagging tail....leg stretch
a head shake....walking backwards to get out of somewhere..?
Simply wait for the behaviour to occur, Click and reward.
Your dog will quickly try to re-create what has resulted
in the reward.
However, be aware that if your dog waggs its tail and
you click but he/she barks at the same time you could
be inadnertently encouraged your dog to bark again as well
as the waggy tail.
Un-wanted behaviours
Can be simply taken back out of your dogs repertoire
by never clicking for them

Clicker is good for the kindness understanding of effective
training with the dogs owner
So you build a lovely bond of friendship, trust and love,
We try not to show the dog what he has to do as this
sometimes interfer with their learning.
As we give verbal message to the dog over and over this has
an effect of repetition and dogs like us go "off the boil" or can
swtich off and then "Gone shopping"..they then prefer to do
something better than whats on offer.
Sometimes you say "Why " has he done that didn't do that
before"..??...Well escessive demands are not ideal for
training....As if I was pushed into doing some-thing
I wouldn't want to do that again.

So for the clicker it has no demands only to happy repeat
the behaviour again and again...And I know what I would
like best.
I like to feel Dogs wanting to do the behaviour because they
want to not because they are forced to.
